Guardiola has likened Man City star Leroy Sane to a new signing since
scoring his first goal for the club against Arsenal in December.
The 21-year-old was impressive on
the left wing in the 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Monday night,
assisting Raheem Sterling's opener with a teasing ball into the box and
also hit the bar in the second-half.
Guardiola believes Sane's form makes him a new signing for the club in January alongside Jesus Gabriel who arrived last month.
"The people say in the winter transfer window one guy arrived - Gabriel Jesus - but I think two people arrived," he said in his post-match press conference.
"Leroy, when he arrived, he
was scared but since the game against Arsenal I think he made a click
and he showed us a lot of things.
"He's so fast, his intensity helped us a lot, he helped us defensively too
"He's 20 years old so I'm so happy for Man City. We'll have a great player for the next years."
Sane's performance was one of the highlights in a game overshadowed by Gabriel Jesus hobbling off after just 14 minutes.
The
19-year-old, who bagged three goals and two assists in his first three
starts for the club, looked distraught as he made his way to the tunnel.
City are now just eight points off leaders Chelsea after extending their unbeaten run to five games.
