Boko Haram: FG earmarks N5B for weapons in 2017

The Nigerian army is expected to spend N5 billion on the procurement of weapons for 2017
- This is contained in the 2017 budget presented to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari
- The army will also be spending an additional N846 million for the repair of its existing military equipment.
