Comedian Ali Baba, wife to sponsor rookie comedian's education

Ace comedian Ali Baba and his wife Mary Akpobome have adopted one of the rookie comedians who participated in the 2017 edition of Mr Spontaneity competition at Ali Baba’s January 1 concert.

The couple pledged to sponsor the education of an upcoming comedian AB Jokes who was the first runner-up of the comedy competition.

Mary it was that announced Laugh Doctor the winner of the contest based on the judges’ decision and he went home with coveted prize, a brand new car.

Luck smiled on the first runner-up when he was asked what he wanted. The young man asked for his education to be sponsored and he got it.

Ali Baba and his wife promised to be personally responsible for AB Jokes education till university level.

Ali Baba’s Spontaneity has been on since 2014 and new comedy talents have been discovered in the course of the programme.

While Ali Baba is a veteran comedian, his wife Mary is a director at Heritage Bank.
