Premier League campaigners
Manchester City have been reported to be considering the signing of
Barcelona attacking midfielder Ivan Rakitic and the player could be
making the move before the close of the 2017 January transfer window.

It was stated in the reports that
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been monitoring the 28-year-old
player and the club are ready to offer the Spanish giants £50 million to
lure him to the Etihad stadium.
On Sunday, January 8, 2017, the Croatia
international was left out of Luis Enrique's squad that traveled to
Villarreal for the La Liga clash fueling rumors that he might be facing
the exit doors.
The 28-year-old joined the
Spanish giants in 2014, and he has been a key member of the team, but
over the last month, his appearances have become sporadic.
Manchester City currently occupy fourth
position on the Premier League standings with 42 points after 20 games,
and Pep Guardiola is ready to bolster his squad before the close of the
January 2017 transfer window.
