Next SpaceX rocket set to launch Jan. 8, 4 months after explosi

The recovered first stage of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is transported to the SpaceX hangar at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida on May 14, 2016. The vehicle was launched May 16 and successfully recovered, but on Sept. 1, another Falcon 9 blew up on the launch pad, stalling its satellite program.
